The Career Center partners with employers in Atlanta and Athens to provide a job shadow opportunity to match your career interest. This extremely popular and competitive program allows students who participate to build their resume, explore a career, and network with professionals.

“Terry Treks” Corporate Bus Tour

October 10, 2014, 8:00 am until 6:00 pm, Clark Howell Hall

This event is for business and pre-business majors.


Who doesn't love a field trip? Interested in a business career? This program features a day-long bus trip to Atlanta, where we will visit 3 different companies to learn about a variety of career paths and what you can do with your business major. Stops include Aldi, the Federal Reserve Bank, and AT&T.


FYI--Selected students will receive a note to give to professors to ask to be excused from class.

New Resource: Versatile PhD

Versatile PhD is an online resource to help STEM, humanities, social science PhDs identify, prepare for, and succeed in non-academic careers. Graduate students, faculty, and others have free access to premium resources provided through the University's subscription to Versatile PhD.

Here’s what Versatile PhD has to offer:

  • The Versatile PhD: info on careers outside academia for PhDs, ABDs and MAs.

  • See authentic, successful resumes and cover letters that got a PhD their first job outside academia.

  • Join a supportive web-based community where you can get advice from PhDs and ABDs working outside the academy.

  • Completely confidential. No one at this or any university will know you are using this website unless you tell them.

Kaplan On-Campus Practice Tests

Kaplan has scheduled some on campus practice tests this fall semester. The GRE and LSAT will be given on Saturday, October 18th. The MCAT, DAT, OAT, and PCAT will be given on Saturday, October 25th. Students can sign up using the below link.
