Log’s softball team kept their winning season rolling by defeating Keith Valley Middle School by a score of 16-1. Pitcher, Carlie Nydick won her fifth game in a row only allowing 3 hits and striking out four. GiGi DeMito, Lainey Scotese, Maddie Marinkovic, and Lydia Pope all had multiple runs batted in. The game ended on an exciting play where Log completed a 4-2-6-2 double play. Great job ladies!!!
Congratulations to the track team and their final victory of the season against Tamanend Middle School. The girls came out strong yesterday and shed no mercy on the other team. Riley Maloney, Sophia Layer, Alexa Hirsch, Hanna Larrimore, Addie DiPaolo, Becky Grace, Annie Rodriguez, Kirsten Kania, Alyssa Shesney, and Lesly Rodriguez all contributed big points in their multiple events yesterday adding to the 179 to 87 victory. Hanna Larrimore broke Log's record for the 100m dash and Skye Moore shattered shot put record for the girls as well. Great season ladies...your hard work paid off! We are looking forward to next year with the 7th graders and wish all of the 8th graders best of luck at the high school!
Our girls soccer team lost a hard fought battle in our annual Log/Klinger matchup. The girls led a tough Klinger team 1-0 through most of the first half. Klinger came back from behind with two unanswered goals, ending the matchup with a 2-1 victory over Log. Though the girls lost, Coach Hontz met with the 8th grade girls on both teams together and talked about their bright futures on Tennent's team and how their rivalry will soon turn into friendships. Congratulations on a great season!
The Log College Softball team continued to dominate the competition yesterday by defeating Unami Middle School by a score of 21-1. Olivia Clee, GiGi DeMito, and Lydia Pope all had monster days at plate as they were a combined 9 for 11 with 9 runs scored and 12 RBI’s. Everyone contributed in the win. Carlie Nydick earned her 6th win of the season striking out 5 and giving up no earned runs. Great job girls! Please dismiss the girls at 2:00 as they have another away game today at Lenape.
