Patriotic Observance

On October 29, 1998, Astronaut and Senator John Glenn became the oldest man, 77 years old (at the time*) to go into space on board the space shuttle Discovery. Senator Glenn was the first American to orbit the earth in 1962 and returned to space over 3 decades later to be part of the NASA study on health problems associated with aging.

*William Shatner just broke Senator Glenn’s record by traveling aboard the Blue Origin rocket and reaching the edge of space at 90 years old. Source.

  • How to purchase CIF Playoff Tickets: Fall CIF Playoffs are just around the corner and we would like to bring to your attention a big change made by CIF to the ticketing process for all CIF Playoff sanctioned events. CIF has moved to a 100% digital ticketing process to enter any CIF sanctioned playoff event using the GoFan platform. The host school is required to check in fans via the digital ticketing application. Tickets will need to be purchased in advance. The purchaser can use the GoFan App to show their ticket or print their ticket out prior to arrival. Stay tuned for CIF playoff updates on the weekly schedule posted on the AGHS website (aghseagles.org).

  • Click on the GoFan link to purchase tickets. For information about purchasing online, click here. You can also use the GoFan app.
