Note from Admin Team
Greetings Wildcats,
We are one week closer to spring break and there have been a lot of great things going on. This upcoming week we have multiple performances and activities planned. On Thursday we will have our end of the quarter celebration day for students who qualify. Please encourage your student to finish the school year out strong and to turn in any missing work they may have.
With it being the end of the quarter, I do want to point out that we have seen an increase in student behaviors over the past two weeks. I encourage you to have conversations with your student about appropriate school behavior and following school expectations. We want our students to be able to enjoy Trailridge while being kind, responsible and respectful as well. Thank you in advance for your help in resetting our student expectations as we navigate the final quarter of the school year.
I am also excited to give a big shout out to our BSU. The students and staff in our BSU did an awesome job planning multiple events to learn and celebrate Black History Month. I am so proud that all of the activities and events were student driven. It is exciting to see the leadership in our students as they prepared the activities of the month. Great work TR BSU!
Have a great weekend!

Wildcat Student Highlight!
Help us celebrate your student!
We are so fortunate to have some remarkable students attend Trailridge. They have a variety of talents. We work hard to celebrate things that happen in the building and within our programs. However, we realize we have awesome students doing awesome work outside of the building as well. We would love to add a portion of our weekly newsletter to highlight our students doing those things as well. Some examples may include girls scout troop projects, volunteering/service opportunities, gymnastics, swimming competitions, winning writing competitions or getting published, outside athletics accomplishments.
If you wish to have your student highlighted, please share that information with us. Email Matt Engler (matthewengler@smsd.org) with pictures and a description of what it is. Our students are amazing and let’s continue to look for ways to encourage and recognize them!
