We are Proud to Be WSD
The nights and mornings are getting cooler, the sound of marching band music fills the air and our athletic fields will soon be brimming with youth sports teams. Fall truly is an exciting time in the Wenatchee School District.
To help you get pumped up for all of the fall festivities, we wanted to re-share the Wenatchee High School Lip Dub from last year. This student-produced feature film truly demonstrates what it means to have PRIDE and be PROUD of who we are as a school community.
Share your PRIDE by using the #Proud2BWSD on your social media posts.

Staff Shout Outs
Rebecca (Becky) McFarland
K-5 Structured Learning Center Special Education Teacher
"My grandson, was in Mrs. McFarland's class last year at Lincoln. She goes above and beyond for her students, who are all special needs. Her team are truly angels on earth, who are devoted and committed to the lives of these special children. I can go on and on about this teacher and her team. I wanted the district to know that you truly have deeply caring and loving professionals in this classroom."

Panther Football Staff of the Week - James Elwyn
Last year the WHS Football program began a new tradition where the team would select WHS staff as "Staff of the Week" and present them with a game jersey, an invite to the team dinner and opportunity to join team captains on the field for the coin toss at home games.
For Week 1 of the 2019 season, captains (Seniors-Nathan Black, Riley Kunz & Nathan Blauman. Juniors-Camden Sirmon, JJ Jelsing) have selected Social Studies Teacher and our head girls/boys swim coach, Mr. James Elwyn. Mr Elwyn embodies the team covenant of Brotherhood-Trust-Heart-Discipline in the classroom and on the deck as the swim coach.
