GLHS Groundbreaking
We broke ground for our new Gahanna Lincoln High School on Thursday afternoon. This joyous moment was the first step in the construction of our new high school. Thank you to all of our guests that attended, and be on the lookout for future coverage of the groundbreaking and high school construction project.

A Message from Superintendent Deagle and Police Chief Spence
With October being Ohio School Safety Month, it is a good time to remind ourselves that we all play a part in keeping our students, staff and community safe.

GLHS Alumni Hall of Fame
The Gahanna Lincoln High School Alumni Hall of Fame was created to recognize graduates who have, through their performance and achievement, brought credit and honor to themselves and to Gahanna Lincoln High School.
This GLHS Alumni Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Friday, November 4, 2022, and will honor three alumni who have been nominated by the community and chosen by a selection committee.
GLHS Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee Dr. Calvin Higgins, Jr.
We are proud to announce that Dr. Calvin Higgins, Jr. is a member of the Gahanna Lincoln High School Hall of Fame Class of 2022!
Dr. Higgins, a 1981 GLHS grad, worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration for 27 years and retired as a Supervisory Special Agent.
High Point Elementary
Recently, nearly 70 Ohio University students from Japan visited High Point Elementary to meet with our students. They met in small groups and shared about their cultures and our students learned how to write their names in Japanese.
Lincoln Elementary
The Lincoln Elementary community came together last week to celebrate each other during their annual Cultural Night. Those that joined had a great night that involved dancing, making crafts, trying new foods and learning about different cultures.
Middle School West
Middle School West hosted STEM Fest this week where students from the Gahanna community got hands-on learning in different STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields. Check future newsletters for more celebration of this great event.
Great Gahanna Goblin Fest Road Closure
Road Construction Details
The Great Gahanna Goblin Fest is next Friday, October 28 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Academy Park! With a portion of Cherry Bottom Road closed for construction, those who can walk or carpool to the event are asked to do so.
Here is more information on suggested detours, parking and a free shuttle service.

Phase Two Projects
Building Pride for Our Future
In November 2020, voters in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools district approved a bond and operating levy to fund Phase Two of the GJPS Master Facilities Plan.
Phase Two of the Master Facilities Plan Includes:
- Additions and renovations to High Point and Blacklick Elementary
- New Lincoln High School on current site
BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits Available for Symptomatic Students and Staff
BinaxNOW At-Home COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits are currently available for students and staff currently enrolled in GJPS schools who are EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS of COVID-19.
REQUEST FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN ADVANCE
While supplies last, you may request kits for:
The number of students you have enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
The number of GJPS staff in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
A confirmation email will not be sent.
PLEASE WEAR A MASK WHEN PICKING UP A RAPID TEST AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

After completing a Rapid Test Kit Request Form, kits are available for pick up at:
