Looking forward to a week of celebrating your children's successes and setting goals for the year!
Learning Targets
What is a Learning Target?
Learning targets are our Common Core standards, rewritten in kid-friendly language that they can interpret and understand. Instead of assessing a particular standard for just one quiz or test, students self-assess and progress towards the bullseye (mastery) of the target throughout the year. Some targets they hit right away, some will hit it during the learning, while there are others that will be progressing throughout the year.

Global Read Aloud
PAX
This month, we are participating in the Global Read Aloud, reading the book Pax, written by the author of the Clementine series, Sara Pennypacker. This story has a lot of social themes and parallels to historical events.
It will be fun discussing the story with other students around the globe and to hear their interpretations of the story.
