BACK TO SCHOOL SPLASH

WELCOME BACK, HAIRGROVE DOLPHINS!

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to the 2021-22 school year! Due to construction at our building, we will not be able to host an in-person meet-the teacher. Your child’s teacher will be sending an e-mail to you on Wednesday, August 18th to introduce herself. Please join us for our Dolphin Drive-Thru in Hairgrove’s back parking lot on Thursday, August 19 from 9am to noon and 3pm to 6pm. At our dolphin drive thru, you may purchase school supplies and spirit shirts, drop off school supplies that you’ve purchased, find out what bus number your child rides this year or get your new car rider tag. Parent ID will be required to get a car-rider tag, so please bring your ID with you. All car-riders must have a NEW 2021-22 car-rider tag. Tags from previous years will not be valid.

The first day of school is Monday, August 23rd. School doors will open for breakfast and classes at 7:40 am. Breakfast is available from 7:40-8:00. School hours are 8:00-3:30. To help with an easy transition, we will continue to not have parents enter the building and walk students to class. We have a system in place to walk our students to class. If your child has school supplies, carts will be in the front that you may drop off your child’s supplies, and we ask that you put your child’s names on the supplies.

Please determine how your child will go home on the first day and communicate this information with each child’s teacher. The teacher will know that is how the child will go home every day. If you change the way your child goes home the second day, you will need to send a written change of transportation note.

Our website, hairgrove.cfisd.net is also currently under construction, but we are hoping that it will soon be complete. Please continue to check our website for our back-to school newsletter, school supply lists, dolphin drive-thru flyer and other important information.

We can’t wait to see all of our Hairgrove dolphins back on August 23rd. Thank you for your support and we look forward to a great year.

Attention Car Riders

All car riders will need a new tag for the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you for helping to make the car rider line move along smoothly and quickly as well as keeping staff and students safe by following the procedures outlined below:

  • We only use one drop off lane in the morning. It is the one closest to the school. Please follow the traffic direction that is being given by our staff members and pull all the way to the front of the line. Please say your goodbyes and have your child ready with their belongings to exit the right hand side of the vehicle.
  • In the afternoon please have your car rider number displayed and leave it displayed until your child is safely inside the vehicle. We use two lanes in the afternoon and you may use either one. If there is an issue, you will be directed to go around the car in front of you. Otherwise, please stay in one line as you are waiting to exit the parking lot.
  • If you do not have a car rider number, you will be asked to park and go inside of the building with your ID to check out your child.
  • Respect the traffic cones; they are there to keep everyone safe.
