Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we learned about “weather” during ELA and Science. We had a great time learning about the different types of precipitation that storms can create and how they effect our environment. We compared the difference between storms and how powerful storms can be.
We continued working on number identification, place value and breaking apart numbers using tens and ones. Please check your child's I-Ready account to make sure they are completing their weekly minute.
First Grade
This week in First grade we have been learning about our community and important leaders. We have been having a great time exploring narrative stories and improving our reading fluency. In math we are working on using mental strategies to help us work with numbers.
Thank you parents for your participation in parent teacher conferences!
Second Grade
Third Grade
Fourth Grade
Mrs. Michaud’s class has been hard at work this week! In Math, we continued our discussion of numerical expressions, multiplication, and place value. Our Chapter test will be next week. In Science, we finished our unit on the Nature of Science and began learning about Matter. In Reading, we read a play based on Norse mythology to continue our discussion of theme. In Social Studies, we began learning about the early people of Florida and the five early Native American cultures of Florida.
