Thank you to our families and staff that contributed to our Hat Day Fundraiser so our Beautification Committee may continue to be creative with the

flowerpots throughout the seasons!

Message From Mrs. Yost

Staff and students are off to a wonderful school year. I would like to thank our PTO for organizing a wonderful Back to School Picnic. It was a beautiful night to enjoy each other's company with delicious pizza and a refreshing pop. Please see below for some great PTO fundraising opportunities and information about our virtual PTO meeting this Tuesday, October 3rd. Picture Day went well. We had one issue with a camera malfunctioning in the morning; therefore, we were unable to photograph Mrs. Nedinsky's AM class. If your child was unable to have their picture taken, our Retake Day is scheduled for November 16th.

We have administered our fall assessments for all grades 1 & 2 in math (iReady) and reading (Dibels). Kindergarten students will begin their assessments this week. This is beneficial information to individualize and target instruction. Thank you to those parents that are able to attend our Back to School Night. We continue to open our doors to have our families as partners in our school community! Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on October 17th and 24th. Teachers will be sending out a communication for sign ups. We look forward to seeing you then.

With the cooler days expected ahead, please remember to have our child prepared with the proper attire to go outside - coats, pants, hats, gloves, etc. Slides are not a safe shoe to be worn to school. Closed toed shoes with a back is the best option to support recess activities and moving around the building. 5132: Dress Code - Policy and Regulation . Thank you for your support.

Breakfast and lunch menus are linked to the end of this newsletter.

As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Kindly,

Mrs. Yost

Halloween Parade

We are excited to hold our Halloween Parade on October 31st during the school day. Parents are welcome to watch our parade march around the front of the building. For those that do not celebrate Halloween, please know we have an alternate activity planned with Mr. Troiano during this short parade time.
Academic instruction will be taking place all day, up until the parade. This is not a reason to be absent from school. It is important for students to attend school consistently, on time and for the full day. We look forward to celebrating together.
