The Highland Academy Weekly

Educating for Leadership, Educating for Life

Principal Greetings

Dear Highland Community,

February is Visit Our Schools Month. We will have student led tours every Tuesday at 9:30 and an evening Open House event on February 25th. We are looking for a few volunteers to help represent Highland parents. If you are available, please let us know. We will have refreshments. We will also have student presentations from Mr. Klauschie's Living Museum. All are welcome to attend. Come meet prospective new Highland parents, and reconnect with current parents.

Our Climate and Connectedness Survey window for families is now open. To access the survey, please use this link: surveys.panoramaed.com/aasb; access code - highlandfamily. We will have computers available on Conference Day for you to complete the survey.

If we don't see you Tuesday night, I hope to see you Friday night at the Chili Cook Off!

A Note From The Nurse

We now have cold and refreshing filtered water available for students. Proper hydration is important for brain function, and dehydration can have a huge impact on mood and fatigue. Teenagers should consume 2-3 quarts per day. Our students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school and stay hydrated!

Student Activity Fee

We rely on student activity fees to pay for contextual learning opportunities both in an out of the building. Our student activity fee is $75/semester. We appreciate payments made through Zangle or by check at the front desk.
