Principal Greetings
Dear Highland Parents & Students,
Here we are! The final week of the school year. My sincere apologies for my text on Sunday about our graduation ceremony airing on Channel 11 & Channel 5. I was a day ahead of myself. It will be on Monday - Channel 11 at 6:00 pm, Channel 5 at 10:30 pm, and again on Tuesday - Channel 11 at 5:00 am. If you miss our graduation celebration, you can view it here, along with a shout out to each of our grads, and more. View Highland's Celebration Here.
As we wrap up our final week of the year, please be aware of these important dates:
Monday - Staff Inservice: No Morning Meeting; No morning office hours
Tuesday - Diploma Distribution for grads 9-3 (by appointment) at Highland Academy
Wednesday - School Assembly via Zoom (use the Morning Meeting Zoom link) 1:30; PTSO meeting 5:30 pm
Thursday - Last day of school; Last day of Yearbook Distribution & personal item pick up. 11-1:00. Please pull up to the front door and someone will be out to assist you.

Status Report Updates will be arriving via mail the first week of June.
Online registration for returning ASD students is now open. Whether you plan to attend Highland, or another ASD school, please register soon so we can plan our course offerings for next year. Register here,
Remember that middle school supplemental materials are available throughout the summer.
High schoolers - iSchool registration closes this Friday. Remember to email Ms. Crosby to let her know you applied, as she does the actual registration for you. iSchool is a great way to catch up on missing credits, or get ahead on credits. You may enroll in 2 courses (we recommend Social Studies or Science), and the $100 fee is waived this year.
Congrats to Ms. Varin! Her daughter Quentin was born early this morning. Mama and baby are healthy and happy.
I'd like to extend a huge kudos and thank you to this learning community. Parents, we couldn't have done it without your support. Teachers and staff, your hard work has paid off. Students, your effort to complete your work and maintain somewhat of a schedule will prepare your for next year.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank the PTSO for their hard work and dedication to our students and staff. They have done many amazing things for our school this year: a new sound system will be installed over the summer; we have a water bottle filling station; we have new microwaves; they purchased many novels for our Language Arts program; they provided delicious and nutritious items for our students every day; and much, much more. They work very hard to improve the learning community for you and your family, and they do all this with smiles on their faces! Thank you PTSO!
We have all been challenged in these trying times. We've had to learn how to quickly adapt and been forced to practice resilience. While some days are better than others, we keep pushing forward. May your summer brim with adventure and new experiences. I cannot wait to see you all next school year!
Take care,
~Ms. Johnson
