We will also be completing our pepper-moth simulation and reflection in class on Tuesday and Wednesday. This will an assessment grade for the first quarter.

Tuesday:
Lesson 18-Computing Actual Length from a Scale Drawing & 1-18 Problem Set
Wednesday:
Vocabulary Quiz over Module 1
Lesson 19-Computing Actual Areas from a Scale Drawing & 1-19 Problem Set
Thursday and Friday:
We will begin a project measuring a doll, then use scale factor to draw the doll at real-life dimensions. This will be a group project and the first 80% grade of the 2nd quarter.
These plans are subject to change, but as of right now I plan to give students problem sets 1-16, 1-18, and 1-19. They will have class time to work but if they do not finish it will be homework.
World Geography with Mr. Akagi
Students will be learning about how Americans and Canadians interact with the environment, for better and for worse. Students will then spend two days focusing on an aspect of climate change, and creating an infographic for it. Students will round out the week by examining cultural similarities and differences between the United States and Canada.
Language Arts with Ms. Griem
Next week in Language Arts we will be reviewing plot and finishing up Unit 1. Please remind and encourage your students who have missing work to turn in anything that they can complete by Friday, October 11th. Anything turned in by the end of the 9 weeks will be counted for FULL credit. I am also holding a contest in my room: the class that has the lowest missing assignments by Friday will get some sort of prize from me. Right now these are the standings: Hour 2 – 62, Hour 4 – 122, Hour 6 – 116, and Hour 7 – 88. ANYONE CLASS CAN WIN! Also don’t forget that you can see what is happening in class on a daily basis by looking at my calendar https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hMy-dGukQT5mCjI-19QZ9fjck_ga4nO080zCZ6pgCyg/edit?usp=sharing.
