- The canopy installation over the pathway has begun.
- The new fencing installation project will be starting soon.
- Weather permitting, the Park Avenue area should be complete in the next couple of weeks.
Wilson Street Side of the Campus:
- The construction crew has broken ground on the new parking lot.
- Concrete and pavement should begin to be put down this week
- Weather permitting, the Wilson Street area will also take a few more weeks to complete.
We appreciate your continued patience and support as we work to make important improvements to our campus.
GIFT CARD DONATIONS BEING COLLECTED FOR HURRICANE VICTIMS
A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter: he that has found one has found a treasure. -Sirach 6:14-16
ICCS will begin collecting gift cards for Hurricane Ida victims in hard-hit areas starting tomorrow, September 3, through Friday, September 17. If your family would like to donate a gift card in any amount, please send the cards to school with your student. Teachers will be collecting gift cards during homeroom periods each morning. Gift card suggestions include Walmart, Target, home improvement stores, gas cards, clothing stores, and restaurant or fast food gift cards. The gift cards will be donated to a heavily damaged Catholic school community on behalf of the students, parents, and faculty members of ICCS. More details will be shared in future issues of the Panther Press.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS
As we continue to settle into a new school year, students and parents are reminded of the following rules and guidelines.
Tennis shoes ONLY: Pre-K – 8th-grade students are required to wear only tennis shoes as specified (predominantly white, gray, or black tennis shoes). No “light-up” shoes, boots, or high tops are allowed.
Jumper/Skirt or Shorts: All regulation plaid should be slightly above the knee, not to exceed 3” from the floor on all sides when measured from a kneeling position. Black modesty shorts must always be worn under a jumper or skirt. Please note: skirt and uniform checks will be conducted soon.
Re-entering the Building After Dismissal: Due to the possibility of teachers not being available to supervise children in hallways, classrooms, locker areas, or enrichment rooms after the bell rings at 3:00 p.m., students are not allowed to re-enter the school building after dismissal to retrieve books, lunchboxes, projects, uniform pieces, etc. Please remind your student to gather all belongings and school items before leaving for the day.
Bag Lunch Guidelines: Children with bag lunches may not bring candy, soft drinks, or glass containers. All bag lunches must be free of peanut/nut products, items that may contain traces of peanut/nut products, and items that are manufactured in a facility that handles peanuts/nut products.
