STATEWIDE OPPORTUNITIES
Fall Virtual Learning
Young Entrepreneur Market
Beyond School Bells, Nebraska's afterschool and summer learning network, is launching a Young Entrepreneur Market (YEM) to offer K-12 students in Nebraska real-world experience selling their products to the public. We are piloting our first marketplace at the annual Get Connected afterschool educator conference on September 30-October 2, which will be entirely virtual this year.
We are recruiting 10 youth from across the state who have a product ready to sell virtually to over 500 educators who will be participating in this conference. If you are a young entrepreneur and ready to sell your product, please CLICK HERE and fill out the application. Applicaitons are due by Wednesday, September 2.
- Marketplaces are a great way for aspiring young entrepreneurs to gain important skills and knowledge about product development, customer interaction, pricing, and pitching. We are excited to partner with youth to pilot this project.
- Please contact Anna Wishart if you have any questions: awishart@nebraskachildren.org.
