Principal's Message
I am pleased to announce results of the recent election and introduce your PTO Leadership Board:
Rebekah Tessler-President
Kara Cohen- VP
Jennifer Brennan- Treasurer
Liz White- Secretary
I look forward to continuing to work with the PTO and these amazing members of the community to ensure our children have an outstanding school experience. Many thanks to our outgoing President, Vera Sirota, for all of her hard work and dedication while she served the community in that role.
We are now accepting nominations for the Governor's Educator of the Year and Educational Services Professional of the Year. You can nominate a staff member up until November 30th. The nomination form is included here:
https://www.nj.gov/education/recognition/educators/geoy/materials/NominationForm.pdf
Once you fill out a nomination, you can give it to a staff member during arrival time for it to be placed in our drop box.
The athletic department and Head Swim Coach Veronica Pogorzelski would like to speak with 5th graders who are interested in joining the Hoboken Middle School Swim team this year. See the flyer below regarding an interest meeting on November 10th at 3:15 PM in the Hoboken Middle School auditorium.
Please remember we are still very much living in a COVID world. Parents and guardians, please make sure you wear masks during arrival and dismissal times as a preventative measure. Additionally, all parents and guardians must complete the daily COVID form in the Genesis Parent Portal each day. If you need assistance with that, contact your child's homeroom teacher.
Also, please see below for a link to separate newsletter, shared earlier this week, regarding updates to our district-wide COVID procedures.
For this week's playlist, I went with three of my random favorites. I hope you enjoy them!
Remember, there is no school Thursday, November 4th and Friday, November 5th due to the annual NJEA Teacher's Convention.
Next week, our regular grade level and subject area updates will return.
Have a great weekend and stay safe!
