NMS Wednesdays 12:45 - 1:35
*Start and end on time
Collaboration: All parties have meaningful participation and contribution
Purpose: Continuously examine and investigate PBL and STEM best practice and instructional strategies
Agenda
**Null: Please remind your students that they can stay after on Thursday if they would like. If they stay after, they are to report to the cafeteria for their dinner and stay there with us. If they stay, they will assist with set-up.
**King: Students must go home and come back at 6:00.
1:00 - Clark starts working on set-up
4:00 - KMS reports to cafeteria to assist with set-up (earlier if you want)
5:15 - All teachers report to cafeteria and ensure that your area is ready: projects out, presentation stations set up and working, digital products easily accessible.
6:00 - 7:30 - Showcase
7:30 - NMS Clean up
**Teachers with digital products: Think of the best way to have all of your student work easily accessible to parents as they walk around to view products.
**Ms. Philip & Ms. Walton - Please have your chromebook carts charged and ready to be picked up before the end of the day.
**Ms. Kemp and Ms. Wilson - Please ensure that the 10 laptops & microbits that you will use are charged and ready to be brought down.
**Ambassadors will assist with the evening. NMS ambassadors should stay after if they can. KMS & NMS ambassadors can report to Ms. Clark at 6 pm.
* “live presenters” need to practice prior to giving their presentations at the Showcase - no backs to the audience reading from screens
*Each student group should have at least 2 presenters
*They should have an opening (telling why they chose this project or why they did it)
*They should ask the audience if they have any questions at the end
*3-5 minutes for total presentation time
***Please be prepared and ready to set up quickly. Please have your area thought out and ready to go.***
This is going to be a great night and our first opportunity to show off all of the hard work you and your students have done to our community of district faculty, staff, administrators, and parents!
2. Spring Themed PBL: Growth. Sharing & Feedback session. Please bring one printed copy of your PBL planning document with the following items completed: TEKS, Driving Question, Project Summary, Products, How Products Will Be Made Public, & Timeline of PBL.
Important Dates
Showcase phone log (See your team leaders) - complete calls by Monday, December 11th (at least 2 documented attempts). Turn in to Ms. Clark on Tuesday, December 12th.
