The Cat and the Mouse
One day there was a cat sitting by a blueberry tree. The cat was reading a book. All of the sudden, the cat hears a squeaky voice. The cat looks up from his book and sees a little tiny mouse. “Excuse me,” the mouse squeaked, “I was wondering if you could help me get a blueberry? I am far too little to reach up that high.” The cat glares at the mouse, “As you know I am a cat, and cats hate mice. I would suggest leaving now, or I might eat you before I get a blueberry.” The mouse’s face drops, “I really need food for my family, or my family will die of starvation.” The cat grinned, “Okay, but don’t say I didn’t warm you.” The mouse jumps up with joy, but before he could say anything else, the cat ate him. The cat gulped him down in one big gulp. The cat said, “If he though a cat would be his friend, then he thought wrong.”
