Positive Feedback as a Result of Professional Development
Check out this link to the entire presentation. The highlights include:
- We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the PD sessions.
- KCS is on track to double our amount of DE usage from previous years, excluding logins for benchmarking purposes.
- The DE usage is much more diversified than it has been in the past. Historically DE streaming has been the primary resource used. Now we use many more resources including boards, quizzes, activities, assignments and brain games.
The DEN Star Network is a global community of education professionals that are passionate about transforming the learning experience with digital media, the Discovery Educator Network (DEN) connects members across town and around the world through social media, virtual conferences and in-person events — fostering valuable networking, idea-sharing and inspiration.
If you are passionate about transforming learning experiences with digital media, sharing resources, collaborating, and networking we invite you to take the next step in the DEN. Become a STAR Discovery Educator. It's easy. Just remember STAR:
S – Share something you've learned about using Discovery Education resources with
your colleagues. You are ALREADY doing this. You share ideas with your collegues regarding the use of Discovery Ed benchmarks, probes, videos, boards etc. during meetings, lunch or conversations in the hallways.
T – Teach your colleagues about this idea or strategy. This can be any "event" in which you share ideas with 3 or more people.
A – Assist your colleagues as they implement this idea or strategy
R – Report what you've done. This is as easy as answering a few simple questions through the DE website.
Login to Discovery Education using your teacher log in and start your application. It's easy, fun, and right at your finger tips. Once you become a DEN Star member you will receive free goodies, have access to some premium resources and get early releases of new Discovery Education tools.
There will be special deliveries to DEN Star teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8) so don't delay!
