History-Named after the titans of ancient Greek mythology titanium was found by Reverend William Gregor in 1791, the pure element was not made until 1910 by Matthew A. Hunter
Uses- Fireworks, Jewelry, and bone replacements
Description-lustrous and white when pure
Biology(in humans)- no biological role in humans unless it is a replacement
Geology(in the universe)-normally found in igneous and sediment rocks, titanates , and many iron ores
Properties-Quite common, Good strength , excellent corrosion resistance
Interesting facts- 9th most abundant element in the earth crust but the element is not found free, it is the only element that burns in nitrogen, found in the sun and in meteors.
