From the Principal
We are already more than halfway through the first marking period and Interim I grades are posted in ParentVue/StudentVue. If you have any questions about your student's grades, please reach out to his/her teachers. If you have an overall concern, please contact the Counseling Office to schedule a conference.

Old/used CDs
Dominoes
If you are willing to donate these items, please have your student deliver them to Mr. Sharpless or Mrs. Rowe.

From the PTO
Joining the PTO is a great way to support your child's school. All students should have recently brought home a PTO Membership Form, so please become part of this important organization.
The PTO meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the Media Center.
iCoverage
Please note: The 2017-2018 iCoverage Policy was shared with Boonsboro Middle School families, rather than the updated 2018-2019 iCoverage Policy. While the $15 coverage fee is consistent, there are various changes within the policy, including the fees for replacement and repair.
Understanding many of you already purchased the policy unaware of the change, we plan to honor the 2017-2018 iCoverage Policy that was distributed for the remainder of the 2018-2019 school year.
Thank you in advance for your attention in this matter and please know this is only applicable to Boonsboro Middle School students.
Should you have any questions regarding this notification, please call us at 301-766-8038.

Student Service Learning
Mrs. Ganoe and Mrs. McDermott were in 8th grade classes this week discussing Student Service Learning hours. 8th grade students may now begin earning SSL hours independently to put towards the 75 hours of their high school graduation requirement.
All activities must be pre-approved by your child’s school counselor. You may contact Mrs. Ganoe (ganoekri@wcps.k12.md.us) or Mrs. McDermott (mcderlau@wcps.k12.md.us) in the BMS Counseling Office at 301-766-8043 to pre-approve SSL activities.
Students may not earn SSL hours for any activity for which they are paid or where the service is ordinarily provided by a paid employee.
Students are encouraged to come to the Counseling Center to learn about upcoming SSL opportunities and pick up an SSL record card. Thank you!
