Igniting the future! 3/10/17
From the Principal...
Dear Families,
We have finished the first round of ISTEP+. The students have worked so hard, and I am unbelievably proud of them. Thank you for getting your students to school on time, well rested, and with a healthy breakfast. The second round of ISTEP begins April 24.
Thank you so much to the PTC for making the Thompson Crossing Mother/Son and Father/Daughter Dances fabulous this year. I was able to attend both events, and I think everyone who was able to attend had a great time! In general, our PTC have sponsored so many activities this year for our families. We are so grateful to them, and encourage more parents to become involved in our school through the PTC.
If you have a Kindergartner beginning school in July of this year, please plan to go to CTEC (our district office on Franklin Road) between April 12-14. While filling out all paperwork there, you will sign up for a kindergarten screening time in May.
March is such a busy time for our 3rd grade students. All third grade students will be taking IREAD-3 from March 13th -15th, with makeups on March 16th -17th. It is so important that all third grade students are here during these days.
Spring Break will begin March 20th and we will return to school on April 3rd. I hope you enjoy this time off with your family.
Yours in Education,
Mr. Jeff Murphy
From the Counselor...
Dear Parents,
We strive to provide a loving environment where each child can come to school and feel safe while they are learning. I am sending home specific information regarding bullying and Thompson Crossing’s policy. Currently, the Anti-Bullying contract will be going home with ALL 4th and 5th graders. Please make sure to review the policy with your child, sign, and return to Thompson Crossing.
Thank you,
Danielle York
