Ear tags should be purchased from the Extension Office, $2.00 each.
Scrapie tags may be purchased on-line. (click here)
Also due:
- YQCA certificates to the office - log on to yqcq.org to print your certificate (click here)
- DNA envelopes for State Fair and Aksarben
- Premises ID numbers
- Dogs and cats do not need ID sheets, but all dogs and cats do need up-to-date vaccination papers to present to the superintendents at the County Fair.
When is the next deadline?
Note: Static exhibits do not need to be pre-entered (i.e. cooking, vegetables, photography, etc.)

Aksarben Updates
NEW UPDATE: Feeder calf nominations no longer will require DNA for AKSARBEN. Feeder Calf nominations will only require an EID tag and an online nomination in the database.
NEW UPDATE: Animals exhibited as either breeding or market at State Fair will now be able to switch divisions at AKSARBEN.
NEW UPDATE: AKSARBEN horse nominations will require an online nomination with picture upload for their June 15 deadline.
NEW UPDATE: AKSARBEN will not be holding a Dairy Cattle, Rabbit or Broiler show in 2018.
NEW UPDATE: Animals exhibited in either 4-H or FFA at State Fair are now eligible at AKSARBEN.

Cass County Creative Cats Complete Community Service Project
Members of the Cass County Creative Cats made fleece tie blankets to donate as a club community service project. Members shown in the photo include: Logan and Isabelle Hartman, Spencer and Harrison Koehn, Charlie Cawley, Maddie and Brantley Zierott (and junior assistant Jameson Zierott), Kate Zakaras, Michael and Erin Hynes. 4-H club alumnae member Megan Hawks assisted with this project. Other club members supporting this community service effort include: Jacob Stewart, Dakota Glasshoff, Angela Brockhoff, Chase Acker, Katie Taylor, Morgan Jennings, Emmett Jones, Noah and Ben Willey, Dakota, Clayton and Austin Wagner, and Austin Hawks.
