The Collective Atlanta
A network for Teach For America alumni of color
What is The Collective-Atlanta?
The Collective-Atlanta is an internal alumni association for Teach For America Metro-Atlanta alumni who self-identify as a person of color. All Metro-Atlanta alumni of color are invited to participate in personal and professional development and community service.
Vision
It is our belief that in order to reach “one day”, it will take the collective ideas, talents, leadership, and resources of our alumni, especially our alumni of color. The Collective-Atlanta is committed to transforming educational outcomes for children and impacting the communities we serve in Metro Atlanta. We are developing leaders and agents for change that will ultimately lead to educational equity in this city and nation.
Mission
The mission of The Collective-Atlanta is to leverage the comprehensive strength of Metro Atlanta alumni of color to ensure the work to eliminate educational inequity does not cease. By supporting corps members, continuing to develop our alumni, and remaining actively involved in our communities, we can guarantee that educational equity will be reached in Atlanta.
Our Priorities
- Connect with and support second year corps members.
- Engage in the communities we serve through community service projects.
- Professionally and personally develop ourselves as leaders.
