There is no reason why a black man and a white woman can not sit together our community needs to become one large community and segregation will not make this happen. So join me as I refuse to ride the city buses in protest of this terrible law.

Rosa Parks
Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was an African American civil rights activist. This is the woman everyone knows as the lady to refuse her seat to a white woman. This made her a perfect candidate to be a boycott leader.
Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movements. Many people looked up to him for guidance and leadership, he led many of the events including Montgomery Bus Boycott.
