Summer Lit Lab Pop-Ups!
It is a great summer to encourage reading, writing and STEM!
Summer FUN Ahead!
Summer Lit Labs are a fun and engaging way for kids entering 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade to continue reading and writing during the summer months. When your child participates in the Lit Lab Pop-ups, he or she will receive a Lit Lab kit, filled with new books*, a journal, and supplies for weekly STEM activities. Your child will have the opportunity to join in weekly online interactive read alouds, accompanied by writing lessons and ideas for a STEM activity connected to the read aloud. Directions for all of the writing and STEM activities will be included in the kit, so even if your child cannot participate online, he or she will still benefit from literacy enrichment activities.
We encourage you to share photos and experiences of your children while participating in this great opportunity on Twitter at #LenaweeLiteracy
