MIDDLE SCHOOL MOVIE NIGHT
Here is an updated and detailed schedule of “A Night Out at the Movies” sponsored by the CPA for all middle school students:
When: Friday, April 30th, 2021
Where: Galaxy Theaters - 100 S Houghton Rd, Tucson, AZ 85748
6:00 pm - Students drop-off and visit theater concessions
6:30 pm - Movies start
- 6th and 7th graders - Theater A - Space Jam (1996): Rated PG for some mild cartoon language. Run time 1 hour and 28 minutes.
- 8th graders - Theater B - Storks (2016): Rated PG for mild action and some thematic elements. Run time of 1 hour and 27 minutes.
8:00 pm - 8:30 pm - Student pick-up. Please promptly be there no later than 8:30 pm so we can all go home and get some rest after all the excitement!
All parents are invited to review the movie themes and ratings. Please let us know before the event if your child does NOT have permission to watch the movie assigned to his/her group.
A $10 gift card will be provided to each student at drop-off to visit the theater concessions.
Behavior Expectations reminders:
Students will follow the Civano Community School Code of Conduct and will respect the directions of teachers, volunteers and chaperones.
Student are not to engage in the use of tobacco, alcohol, prescription or OTC medications

Dress code expectations will be enforced.
Students need to be checked in/out by a parent or guardian. Written permission must be given below to release the student to anyone other than the guardian or parent.
A 30 minute window will be given for photo ops at the beginning of the evening. At 6:30 pm, we will require that all cell phones are put in the “go unplugged basket”.

Arizona Tax Credits
Dear Civano Families & Friends,
THANK YOU so much to our families who have made their tax credit contribution this year! These tax credit contributions are how we fund our Arts program at Civano!
You STILL have time to make an AZ Tax Credit contribution. In fact the extended tax deadline lets you make a contribution for last year (2020) as late as May 17. Of course you can make a contribution for both 2020 and 2021 at this time as well.
Couples filing jointly may take a credit of up to $400 and individuals up to $200.
Contribute online https://vailtaxcredits.org or via check in the school office.
Giving online? Please select “Greatest Need” at the bottom of the page and when directed to choose a school, select “Civano Community School”.
Public school tax credit gifts for the 2020 tax year may be made right up to April 17, 2021.
