As we go through the school year, please keep in mind the importance of full-day attendance. As educators, we strive for bell to bell instruction. This means that we are teaching from 9:15-3:30 every day. Students that are regularly dropped off late or picked up early are missing vital instruction. A student picked up at 3:30 every day ends up missing five hours of school per month. A student dropped off at 9:30 and picked up at 3:30 every day loses ten hours a month, with a cumulative affect equating just over 13 days absent over the course of a year. Let’s all work together, this year, to keep our kids in their classrooms from bell to bell. Together, we can achieve great things!
