AAU Article
I am always asked about my thoughts on AAU. I found a nice article that I shared with the high school parents but think it is important to share with everyone. It talks about the potential positive & negatives of the experiences. https://www.basketballforcoaches.com/what-is-aau-basketball/
8th Grade Players/Parents
The councilors have come in to talk about scheduling for next year at the high school. I would recommend taking the strength and conditioning class if your daughter is serious about playing basketball at the high school level. We had 20 of our 26 girls take the class and we have seen the benefits on the court.
Spring & Summer Basketball Opportunities
We are going to offer clinics, camps, and open gyms for grades 3-12. The dates and times will be released soon after the varsity season comes to an end. Keep an eye on our website and we will announce more details in the March newsletter.
10,000 shot & 1,000 minute challenge
This off-season we are going to be changing the name to "Improvement Season". This time of the year is when player develop and improve their basketball skills. If we take this time "off" we will not improve. We are going to be offering a 10,000 shot and 1,000 minute ball handling challenge to all grades 3-12. The challenge will begin May 1st and go through August 31st. More details will be sent out in the March newsletter!
