What's Up this Week in ELA/WH/WW
Week #7 Remote Learning #westillgotthis
Collaborative Book Project
- Students have completed their Novel Study of either FLUSH or OUT OF MY MIND.
- Our Zoom Classrooms for ELA/WW this week will consist of using the "break-out room" feature for students to work in their small groups to create their end of the book project collaboratively.
- Students will be highlighting the book elements within a Google Slide Presentation.
- Finished projects will then be shared and presented in class.
- CLICK HERE to view project instructions
- NO due date has been set yet, we will work together this week and after that, a date will be set.
Ancient Rome - exploration continues...
- We will continue to gather information pertaining to Ancient Rome and Government
- Students will utilize the textbook, pre-reading, reading/questions and annotating video to collect information on their Google Document Resource they create
- I continue to encourage students to "dive back in" to their documents to look at my feedback and make corrections for clarity.
WW - Digital Writer's Notebook
- Our Digital Writer's Notebooks (WNB) have been established
- Prompts will be given throughout the week for students to respond in writing
- We continue to reflect on this unique time that we are experiencing and is a place to not only write about what is happening now, but on a variety of subjects.
#Parentpartnerteaching #tips
#1 Use of Powerschool to see if any assignments are MISSING. (I'm trying to keep this updated weekly), it's a good tool to see if an assignment needs to be completed. I will gladly accept the assignment as soon as it is completed!
#2 FEEDBACK - I give several comments of "feedback" on student work. Using Google Documents allows me to communicate directly and leave feedback where needed in a document. Have your student share this with you! I've been leaving FEEDBACK on World History google documents, Writer's Notebooks Google slides, in EDPuzzle with question responses in ELA, and Google Forms on reading checks .
#3 Let me know: Continue to feel free to check in with me. Communication continues to be one of the key elements to our Remote Learning Success!
