What's New in GIMS 7th Grade Science?
Greetings from your 7th grade science teachers! After several days of getting to know our students and discussing procedures/expectations, our students embarked on a discovery of the lab safety procedures through videos and interactive websites. Using the knowledge they gained, we had them create some mini lab safety posters, and 12 of these will be placed on display at our labs as reference material throughout the year. Our next topics include:
- The Metric System
- Density
- Engineering Process
Stay tuned for more information.

Notes from the Nurse
1. Please feed your students prior to school or have them eat breakfast in our school cafeteria. It is very important for our students to have a healthy breakfast in order to learn.
2. How should I decide whether to keep my child home for illness?
- temperature of 100 degrees or higher
- diarrhea or vomiting
- severe cold symptoms
- questionable rash
3. Help your child stay healthy by getting 9-10 hours of sleep per night, eating a well-balanced diet, drinking plenty of water, and washing hands often!
