We want to share with you the email we sent prospective students yesterday about ETSU Free App Week (Jan 30-Feb 3). Please encourage your ETSU-interested students to apply now for free!
Dear Student:
Deadlines are coming up for many scholarships at East Tennessee State University. Be sure to complete your application for admission -- an important step before you can apply for scholarships!
- Complete your ETSU admission application now for FREE using the code FreeBuc23. The code works until Friday, February 3 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern.
- Then you can explore and apply for scholarships before the March 1 scholarship deadline!

Most ETSU scholarships have a March 1 application deadline, but some may be earlier:
- ETSU's General University Scholarships
- Honors College Opportunities
- Scholarships awarded at the college and department level
- College of Arts and Sciences, NOTE! February 15 Deadline
- College of Business and Technology
- Clemmer College
- College of Clinical & Rehabilitative Health Sciences
- College of Public Health
- ETSU Academic Performance Scholarships - For in-state and border county students only. Students must have earned a qualifying ACT or SAT score by March 1.
- Certain Out-of-State Scholarships
Your first step is to complete your application for admission to ETSU. Submit your app for FREE using the code FreeBuc23 by this Friday, February 3 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern.
Then you can take the next step of exploring and applying for scholarships!
Jacksonville State University
January is flying by! February will be here before we know and with that future gamecocks can let us know they plan to attend Jax State by registering for Gamecock Orientation (GO!).
- While orientation registration opens for all admitted seniors on February 1st, JSU Dual Enrollment students can register starting January 28th. They will be notified and reminded via email and text!
Attending JSU this summer or fall? Make sure to check a full list of next steps for admitted freshmen on the middle of this page.
- One of the most important next steps on the list is Gamecock Orientation.
- By registering for orientation, a student is confirming their plans to attend JSU and accepting their merit-based scholarship!
- Gamecock Orientation (GO!) Registration opens February 1st - we encourage students to register early so they can select the orientation date of their choice!
- What can you do now?
- Make sure you can login to your MyJSU account and have your JSU email set up.
- Be prepared to pay the $100 orientation fee when registering (+$20 for a parent or supporter)

WorkKeys Test
You recently took ACT WorkKeys test in October of this year. In order to receive a CCRI, students must make a 4 or better in all three areas.
If you did not score a 4 or better in ALL three areas, you will retest during the month of April. You will only test in the area(s) in which you did not make a 4 or better.
