The Belton New Tech @Waskow appellate court team of Isabelle Ryals and Cayden Ratliff placed sixth at the state YMCA Texas Youth and Goverment competition in March — just one place shy of qualifying for nationals.
Other state qualifiers are the appellate court team of Benjamin Garcia Soto Jr. and Zoe Shattuck and the mock trial team of Luke Cripe, Kory Turner, Alexia Howard, John Mosko III and Austin Barriere and the mock trial team of Isabelle Allen, Kylani Buchanan, Brayten Harrison, Jaelan Hurtado, Cadence Lohman and Sven Polk.
New Tech began offering a legal studies program in August. It is led by teacher Neill Plemons.
Congratulations to these students for their successes and for demonstrating so many of Belton ISD’s Journey of a Graduate competencies.
Professional Development Day
T-Shirt Design Contest
We have the opportunity to create a T-Shirt design that will be for ALL Belton staff. Take a look at the flyer for the bits-o-details there are.
- The theme is “Celebrate BISD”
- Red shirt with black and white printing
- T-Shirt design does not have to be on the attached pdf.
- T-Shirt design CAN be done on Illustrator, which MIGHT make the T-shirt printer a wee-bit happier. (Wink-wink)
- Deadline to the district is May 10. Please have your idea submitted to me (Mrs. Lloyd) by May 8 by the end of the school day.
- Only one design will be chosen and students all over the district have the opportunity to submit designs.
- If you plan on doing one, let me know so I can keep tabs on that. May 8 will be here before you know it.
As always, ask me questions!
Mrs. Lloyd
