Sayreville University has been busy planning and executing meaningful Professional Development at your request and based on the feedback provided! We can't thank you enough for making this process a HUGE success! Please be sure to check in with us for upcoming workshops. We're excited to announce the added programs scheduled in May and June! Be sure to follow all registration procedures! They are filling up quickly!!
After you register through the Google Form, please print out your pending confirmation letter that has been emailed and attach it to your Professional Day Request. Submit all paperwork to your principal for approval and make sure it is sent to Selover School ASAP. Your seat will not be confirmed until the form is approved by Dr. Shediack's office.
In the event you need to cancel the day, please cancel with Sayreville University, your principal and with Karen Havens so you will not be charged the day.

- Google for Young Learners and STEM- Barbara De Santis will help you explore Google options for younger learners in the morning. Laura Mihalenko will conduct a Hands On presentation for STEM Integration into the Elementary Grades in the afternoon session. Leave with sample activities and fun ways to work with Math concepts! Grades K-3. Thursday, May 12 8:30-2:30 at Selover.
- Guide Reading and Cafe - Kim Thornton will share her Cafe and Mentor Texts secrets for Language Arts. Kara Olejnik will walk you through Guided Reading. Grades K-3. Wednesday, May 25 8:30-2:30 at Selover.
- Visual notetaking- If a picture is worth 1000 words, then why are your students creating text notes? Learn the basics of visual notetaking allowing you (and your students) to make stronger connections and improve retention. No drawing skills are required (if you can draw a square, you can create visual notes!). Grades 6-12. Wednesday, June 1 8:30-2:30 at Selover.
- Everything Google! Barbara De Santis will help you explore Google options for your Classroom- come explore ways to streamline your workflow, encourage student writing, create charts and more. There is too much Google for one class so a pre-course survey will help design a class that meets the interest and needs of the attendees! You will get a survey (after you register) to help determine the exact focus of the class. Grades K-8. Thursday, June 2 8:30-2:30 at Selover.
