Masking up in Term 3

22 July 2022

Kia ora FCI Whānau

I hope you have managed some rest and quality whānau time this term break. We are looking forward to seeing our students back onsite on Monday, and are excited about the many opportunities planned for this term.

In order to keep safe from the rising cases of Covid-19 and general winter illness in the community, we have decided to adhere to the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health's strong recommendation that all schools require mask wearing in all indoor settings. We will expect all staff and students to wear masks when indoors.

We will ensure we have a supply of masks in every Area, Specialist class and in our office if your child forgets to bring a mask from home, or requires a new mask.

Big picture

Wearing masks, alongside other hygiene measures including good ventilation, hand washing, staying home when sick, and vaccination can significantly reduce the spread of the virus.

Thank you for your support to protect our school community.

Kind regards
