A Note From Mrs. Waters
Thank you for having your child bring in some toys. It helped the students as they discussed and wrote their opinion about the items.
If you have not yet, please send in a small bag of a rock collection. We will begin using the rocks next week in Science.
We will be starting a new unit in Writing, Informational Writing. Please read the attached parent letter for what your child will be learning and writing.
Next week is a short week as there is no school on Wednesday and Thursday. Please remember that Tuesday is a full day, dismissal will be at 3:00. Since it is a short week, there will be no homework. You should still read with your child daily, and you could play a math game with them.
The first grade concert, "A Time To Give Thanks!" will be on Tuesday, November 29. They will be singing exciting songs like "Mashed Potato", "Gratitude Attitude" and "Turkey Woogie" . For the concert your child will need to wear jeans and a red shirt. Please read the attached letter from their music teacher for more information.
