A guide for students and parents
Senior Awards
Face masks are required for graduates and guests. We ask that families socially distance themselves in the seating area and please follow all COVID precautions. Hand sanitizer will be available at the door. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
We ask that graduates be on campus no later than 5:15p.m. Graduates should report to the school lobby. Graduates should have their caps and gowns for the award ceremony.

Rehearsal for students
Graduation rehearsal will be on Friday, May 14 at 9am at the stadium. Students should arrive at the stadium by 8:30 a.m. Only students will be admitted into the graduation rehearsal. Students are required to wear face masks and are expected to maintain social distancing. Students should enter the stadium via the Gate 4 South by parking lot D. We expect to be done with rehearsal by 10:30a.m. or earlier.
Students will receive their graduation tickets at rehearsal.
Dress code for graduates
Boys:
- white button down shirt
- tie
- dark dress pants
- dress shoes
Girls:
- dress or skirt shorter than gown
- shoes without spiked heels
Hair for everyone should be groomed in a fashion that allows for the cap to be able to be secured on the head.
Tickets for graduation
All persons entering the stadium will be required to have a ticket in order to be admitted. Tickets will be issued to students at the graduation rehearsal on Friday. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the tickets issued to them are handed out to family members. No additional tickets will be available after the graduation rehearsal, so please do not lose them!
Entering the stadium
Only clear bags are allowed into the stadium- no other bags will be allowed in.
Noise makers, balloons, confetti, etc... is not allowed in the stadium.
Seating at the stadium
- Guests with tickets will be admitted into the stadium and are asked to maintain social distancing.
- Stadium event staff and San Jose Prep staff will be on hand to help guests find seating areas. It is guests' responsibility to ensure that there is proper social distance between family groups in the stands.

Video streaming and media
The ceremony will also be broadcast on the Jumbotrons at the stadium. If you do not wish for your student's image to be photographed and videotaped, please complete the opt out form below and email to the school by Friday.
Professional photography
We will email the link, post it on social media, and publish on Google Classroom.
Gate opening
Seniors should head straight to the student staging area. No family members are allowed in the student staging area.
Rain or Shine!
Post ceremony
Graduates will head to the staging area to gather the items issued to them and will meet families outside. Families may take pictures outside of the stadium.
