Weekly Update
March 8, 2020
Afterschool Tutoring
We have money available for afterschool tutoring. If you are interested and able to work with some students one hour twice a week after school, please let me know. This would be a good opportunity to work with small groups before state testing, students who are moveable, and/or students who need work on filling in gaps. The pay is $29 per hour.
March For Babies
This year's March for Babies Ambassador is Julia Clardy's family. Julia student taught here at Cedar Grove before accepting a teaching position at Palmetto Elementary. For those of you who may not know, here is her story:
THE CLARDY FAMILY
Lawson Clardy was born at 23 weeks gestation and had a 20% chance of survival. He weighed 1 pound and 7 ounces. Lawson spent 133 days in the NICU and after a roller coaster ride, he was able to come home to his parents and his big brother, Lincoln.
Please consider donating to March for Babies. There will be a 3 mile walk on April 25th at Anderson Civic Center.
Let's Celebrate Our Writers!
I would love to showcase new writing on our Writing Wall of Fame. Be on the lookout for great writing and send it my way. We will showcase new writing this month, and then invite parents in for all students who have had writing showcased for a writer's tea. I look forward to celebrating our writers!
