Virtual Halloween Party
Mrs. Shaffer’s STEM Update
Third, fourth, and fifth graders finished up their STEM coding units this week. Next week they will start going to library classes, and the K-2 students will begin STEM. For the older students, my virtual classroom will be posted in their Seesaw and Schoology accounts. You can also see it here. There are hyperlinks to click on and discover some different activities. Students who didn’t finish their coding lessons can continue to work on those until we meet again in December.
I wanted to give a special shout out to some of our Super Star Coders this month: Sofia E., Tessa W., Kelvin A., Liam D., Bella O., Kinley B., and Laney H. They finished all of their coding lessons for this section of STEM. Great job everyone!
Our K-2 students will start STEM lessons with some digital citizenship lessons, working with BeeBots, and coding in Code.org. An app K-2 students can add to their iPads from Self-Service is the BeeBot app. This will give them more opportunities to work on their sequencing skills.
