The Hungate Echo
Sherburn Hungate Weekly News - Issue 5
A word from Mr Broom
I also seem to have given out loads of headteacher stickers for incredible work and attitude to learning; two things that Mr Sibley (our CEO) picked up on when he visited school last Friday.
Next week, we have the photographer in school on Monday and Mental Wellbeing Day on Thursday.
Finally, our assembly on Monday saw Paul Sharman, representing Help for Heroes, visit school to talk about his charity and the topics of resilience and never giving in. The year five and six children were then treated to a Q&A session with Paul, who talked about his military career. Paul was a Parachute Sniper and as you can imagine, they had lots to ask him about!
Have a lovely weekend.
Outstanding Work Focus - Congratulations Ailish!
Well done Ailish!
Thursday 10th October - Mental Health Awareness Day
We are also holding a bun sale with donations going to Compass Buzz; a charity we use in school to support children who have mental health issues. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Please send your children in with some pennies for the break time stall and, if we have anything left to sell, feel free to buy a bun at the end of the day!
