Student schedules are available to view on StudentVue and ParentVue. Counselors will be addressing schedule changes for students that have the following issues:

1. There is a hole in student's schedule for 1st semester

2. The student has been placed in the wrong level of a class

3. The student is missing a core class (ie English, Math)

Please email your counselor if one of the above conflicts exists, and they will get back to you as soon as they possibly can. Thank you for your patience during this busy time. The Counseling Office is excited to see our Tigers once again!

At Tigard High School we believe in establishing clear, consistent expectations for all members of our community so that we are able to exist in a safe, kind, flourishing learning environment. Students will be learning about these expectations this week, but we also wanted to share highlights with you so that we can partner in helping each student reach their full potential during their time at THS. Below are some key highlights from our 2022-23 THS Student Handbook, but again, please take some time to review the entire handbook and the expectations outlined within. This is going to be a great year, THS! We are excited for all that is to come!

En la Preparatoria de Tigard creemos en establecer expectativas claras y consistentes para todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad para que podamos existir en un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro, amable y floreciente. We are looking forward to seeing you at Freshman Orientation on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 at 8:55am. Please see the schedule below for the day's activities. Lunch will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. After lunch, you will receive and go through your schedule of classes, which will be your first opportunity to meet your teachers and classmates. You will also receive your Chromebook and have a chance to locate and open your locker. Please check Studentvue for bus information.

Parents/guardians, please call the Attendance Hotline at 503-431-5430 in advance of an absence. Please have your student’s ID# ready.

Please call the attendance hotline, 503-431-5430, within 48 hours or two school days to excuse an absence for your student.

If you know in advance that your student needs to leave early, please send them to school with a note to take to the attendance office in the morning. Attendance will provide them with a pass to leave class at the appropriate time. You may also call 503-431-5431 to request your student be pulled from class early. Please allow at least 15 minutes for us to excuse your student from class. WE DO ASK IF A PARENT/GUARDIAN OR AUTHORIZED PERSON IS ON CAMPUS FOR PICK UP THAT THEY COME INTO THE BUILDING AND SIGN THE STUDENT OUT. If a student walks home or is a driver we still need parent authorization verbal or written to allow them to leave campus.

Si sabe de antemano que su hijo tiene que salir temprano, favor de mandar a su hijo a la escuela con una nota para que él/ella lo pueda entregar en la oficina de asistencia. La secretaria lo/la mandará a traer de su clase a la hora que se tenga que ir. También puede llamar al 503-431-5371 para poder sacar a su hijo/a de la clase. Se tomará como unos 15 minutos para mandar a traerlo/a de su clase. LE PEDIMOS AL PADRE/TUTOR O UNA PERSONA AUTORIZADA QUE VIENE A RECOGER A SU HIJO QUE ENTRA A LA OFICINA PRINCIPAL PARA FIRMA LA SALIDA DE SU HIJO. Si un estudiante camina a casa o tiene su carro, todavía necesitamos la autorización verbal o por escrito de los padres, para permitirle salir del campus.

Is your student arriving late?/¿Estará llegando tarde su hijo a la escuela?

If your student is arriving late to school due to a doctor, dentist or other appointment please have them check in at the attendance office with a signed note. You may also call 503-431-5431 to notify us of your student's late arrival.

ROBO CALLS/ TEXT will go out 2x per day! @ 11:35 & 3:45

• If your child has been marked UNEXCUSED absent in the morning 8:55am -11:00am the first auto call will go out at 11:35

• If your student is marked UNEXCUSED absent between 11:45- 3:15pm the 2nd call will go out at 3:45

*Of course mistakes can be made, but we try our best as staff to make sure we are diligent in our reporting.

Seniors: If you would like to purchase a parking pass for THS Student Lot, please fill out this Google form. The cost is $50.

Juniors: At this point we are not offering parking passes to juniors. Once we have distributed passes to all the Seniors who would like one, we will determine if we have extra spaces. At which point, you will be able to sign up and spots will be assigned through a lottery system.
