School Supplies and Backpack Donations
Gina Spagnola, President & CEO of the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce gave dozens of school supplies and backpacks to Superintendent Dr. Jerry Gibson and F.A.C.E. Coordinator Dr. Vivian Hernandez. Items were donated to the Chamber from community members.
Moody Foundation Donations
The Moody Foundation donated backpacks and supplies to Austin Middle School. Receiving the gift was SEL Team Member Amy Argubright, Principal Stephanie Mendoza, Counselor Erika Puccetti, and F.A.C.E. Coordinator Dr. Vivian Hernandez.
Texas A&M Galveston Donations
Associate Vice President for Academic Operations at Texas A&M University at Galveston Dr. Donna Lang donated about 100 A&M t-shirts for Collegiate Academy students to wear on college day.
Backpack Donations from Odyssey Academy
Thank you to Terri Cole with Odyssey Academy for delivering six cases of backpacks for Central Middle School students!
Operation School Bell Donation
Thank you to Operation School Bell for delivering 46 bags of clothing for Morgan Elementary students!

Oppe Elementary Receives Hydration Station
Thanks to the Ocean Guardian School grant last year, Oppe Elementary students and staff are excited to fill up their reusable water bottles with the newly installed hydration station! One more step towards keeping our seas plastic free by saying NO to single-use plastic!

Literacy Development at Central
Literacy plays a vital role in transforming students into socially engaged citizens. Literacy development is a combined effort between home and school. Partner with us by encouraging reading at home everyday and engaging in family book discussions.
Actively discussing what has been read encourages learners to make connections and think deeply about the ideas contained in texts.
