Red Ribbon Week- October 24-28
The Moyer PTO organizes and creates activities for Red Ribbon Week. This week focuses on making good choices and abstaining from drugs and alcohol. The week included small daily treats, dress-up days and completing pledge cards to stay drug-free. The picture below is of our wall of pledges. We give a big shout-out to Emily Morel and the PTO for making this week a success.
Individual Counseling
For students needing additional support academically, emotionally, and/or socially, I offer individual counseling. Teachers and parents can let me know at anytime during the school year if a child needs my support. Students can make a self-referral for counseling by dropping a note in my mailbox, sending me a message on Schoology, or an in-person request.
Parent Teacher Conferences- November 7 and 10
If you would like to speak to me during parent/teachers conferences, please use www.signup.com to schedule a time. I look forward to meeting you!

First Grade Art Walk
Our first graders had the opportunity to create art for local businesses and deliver them in person on October 18th. Mrs. Everett worked with each class to research different businesses in our community. They used an iPad to search for images that they thought would be appropriate for each specific business. She said the students brainstormed ideas, practiced and planned their project ideas. They worked together in groups and completed poster size art works that are currently on display around town. You can spot artwork at the following locations:the US Post Office, 15 North Pizza, Top This Donut, Belladance, Fort Thomas Central, The Fort Thomas Fire Department, 5/3 Bank, The City Building, and Bowman's Framing. Other businesses that were out of walking distance, such as, Carmel Manor, Fort Thomas Antiques, Campbell County Public Library, St. Elizabeth Hospital, Midway Cafe, YMCA, Graeter's Ice Cream and Barre 3, came to the students' classroom to pick up the work and talk to the students about their careers.
Here are a few pictures of the first graders engaged in this authentic, real-world art experience.
