Walk and Roll to School
Join kids at GES and around the nation in celebrating "Walk and Roll" to School Day on Wednesday, Oct. 7th! Walking to school is fun, provides good exercise, reduces air pollution, and builds a sense of community. This is our 4th year to celebrate this event at GES and we would love to set a new record for the number of students walking and rolling to school. The current record is 411 students!
To get the word out, we are inviting all GES stars to create a poster celebrating the benefits of walking and rolling to school. The posters will be judged and all participants will earn prizes, with the top winners receiving passes to Skatetown or Jumpstreet!
For those who live too far to walk, we welcome you to join us at Glade Landing Park near the corner of Baze and Haydenbend at 7:15am. If you would like to lead a group of students from your neighborhood or need more information, please contact Betsy Marsh atbetsymarsh55@gmail.com. We hope to see you on the streets on Oct. 7th!

M.A.P.S. Update
Don't forget to create your Class Dojo account with your child's personalized code found on the Class Dojo invitation letter. You can receive daily updates on your child's behavior in M.A.P.S., along with easy texting to your child's M.A.P.S. teachers with any questions or concerns.
If your child has no activity in Class Dojo, they are meeting standards. "Rewards" are for actions above our expectations, and "needs improvements" are behaviors that can be improved.
Thank you for supporting your M.A.P.S. teachers, and your child's success in our classes.
