Our district has moved to an online registration process and it is so very important for parents and guardians to log in to https://hdsd.web2school.com/ and update all information. DO NOT click on the new student registration button. Simply log in with your username and password and follow the prompts. If you have any issues or do not remember your login information, please contact the school office below for assistance:

A letter from Anna Muncy, Food Service Coordinator
Hello Hillsboro-Deering School District,
This school year, breakfast and lunches will return to being for purchase in the
Hillsboro-Deering School cafeterias. The prices are:
Breakfast $1.50
HDES Lunch $2.85
WES Lunch $2.60
HDMS Lunch $3.10
HDHS Lunch $3.35
Reduced Breakfast Price $0.00
Reduced Lunch Price $0.40
Milk $0.40
All families are asked to complete one Free and Reduced Lunch Application. The
district goal is to get a completed application from every family as each application is
important for school funding as the data is used to calculate grants and aid to the school community.
Currently, you can complete the Free and Reduce Lunch Application online through the
EZMealApp, or you can find a printable copy on the district website. Paper copies of the
application will also be handed to all students on the first day of school. Applications
need to be completed as soon as possible in order to determine student’s eligibility for
free or reduced breakfast and lunch for this school year and for eligibility to be in effect.
For more information about completing the application, lunches and pricing, income
eligibilities, and instructions please visit the “Food Services” page on the district
website: https://www.hdsd.org/Page/213
EZ Schoolpay is the school district’s online system for tracking student food purchases
and easily adding money to your student’s cafeteria account. While this application is
incredibly convenient, creating an EZ Schoolpay account is not the same as completing
a Free and Reduced Lunch Application. These are two separate processes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact for assistance.
The kitchen staff are excited to have the cafeterias opened and to be back for a new
and exciting school year. We look forward to seeing all of the students next week.
Sincerely,
Anna Muncy
Food Service Coordinator

Optional Chromebook Insurance Available for Students in Grades 6 - 12
· Optional Chromebook Insurance (per device) can be purchased HERE.
To assist families with the cost of repairs to student Chromebooks, we are happy to announce an optional yearly insurance program.
Payment can be sent to your student's school with a copy of this form and cash or check for $20.00 per student, not to exceed $40.00 per family.
If you prefer to pay online, you can do so at https://www.ezschoolpay.com/Login.aspx. EZ SchoolPay is the district's online portal for collecting lunch and other school-related fees.
HDSD WILL cover the cost of repair or replacement for the following reasons if a protection premium has been purchased. (Under this agreement):
o Accidental physical damage up to 3 occurrences per year (ex., Walking down the hall and a student accidentally drops it, another student knocking a student’s Chromebook off the desk).
o Accidental power surge (ex., Chromebook is not plugged in correctly to the outlet and gets zapped, lightning or power jumps up and down).
o Theft with a completed police report submitted to the IT department
Repairs HDSD WILL NOT cover (the parent/guardian will pay for the repair and/or replacement of the device, whichever is less):
● Theft, burglary, or robbery of the Chromebook
● Accidental loss of the Chromebook
● Intentional loss or damage to the Chromebook or damage due to negligence
● Illegal use or fraud of the Chromebook
● Dishonest acts, including selling Chromebook
● Cosmetic damage to the physical appearance that does not hinder the normal operation
● Insect or animal damage
● Any other use the school district deems inappropriate. The principal, technology coordinator, and/or superintendent makes the final decision if there is a discrepancy on if the incident causing the needed repair was because of inappropriate actions.

We are looking forward to welcoming students and staff back to school for the 2022-2023 school year. Unfortunately, illnesses such as COVID-19, the flu and other viruses continue to be a reality in impacting our community, sports teams, and clubs. It is important to identify illnesses quickly and for families to seek early care to prevent further spread to the school community. The Hillsboro-Deering and Washington School Districts will continue to follow updated CDC and DHHS guidelines for schools. Hillsboro-Deering and Washington School Districts ask that staff and students not attend school if they are experiencing any upper respiratory symptoms, fever, vomiting or diarrhea.
Per CDC and NH DHHS Guidance Students or Staff who test positive for COVID-19 must isolate for 5 days, after their 5 day isolation period they may return if experiencing improvement of symptoms, but must wear a well fitting face mask for an additional 5 days. If after 5 days you are feeling better and wish to remove your mask sooner than day 10, you must have two sequential negative tests 48 hours apart. If you continue to be symptomatic you must complete the full 10 days of isolation. Free home COVID-19 tests are available for families: https://www.covid.gov/tests
Students and Staff who experience illness such as fever, vomiting and diarrhea and test negative for COVID-19 are asked to stay home until they have improvement of symptoms and are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication. School nurses are happy to help review symptoms and discuss the most efficient way to return to school after any illness.
Families can help the school nurses manage minor symptoms and support their student staying in school by completing the school health record and selecting any over the counter medications they deem appropriate for their child. Families also can provide documentation of allergies or medical conditions that may require support during the school day through the health portal. Please follow this link to access your students health portal: https://www.studentehr.com/
