Grateful For Our Meadows Community

Meadows Families,

As we head into the holiday season, I want to take a moment to express how grateful I am to be a part of the Meadows community. I am grateful for our Meadows students who come to school every day eager to learn – they are a constant reminder of what is important. I owe a debt of gratitude to our Meadows families, teachers and support staff. They invest daily in our students’ academic and social-emotional well being. A huge thank you to our volunteers who contribute so much to our school.

Together, our dedicated staff and families ensure that great things happen in our school. Thank you all for your help, support, understanding, and partnership. Wishing you all a happy, healthy and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

Please consider getting your child their flu shot along with their Covid booster. They are now available to students age 5 and older during the same visit. Coadministration, getting more than one vaccine during a visit, is a common practice. The idea is to get children up to date on all the vaccines they are due for at one visit. This can ensure that they get all of their vaccines, in case they are not able to return visit for additional vaccinations at a later time.

Student Safety is our Priority

Meadows Elementary School is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all of our Mustangs. The enhanced involvement and assistance of parents in our school programs and activities is greatly appreciated by our staff and students. Since schools are a place of work and learning, however, certain protocols must be set for school visits by families and volunteers alike. All school campus visitors must be informed and adhere to the laws and school policies of visitors to school campuses, as stated in the California Education Code (Ed code j44810 (a); j44811(a); j51101(a): (1), (2), (12).

  • Anyone who is not a regular staff member or student of the school will be considered a visitor.

  • All visitors are encouraged to enter through the main entrance at the front of the Meadows school building.

  • All visitors to the school must report to the school office at the main entrance upon arrival. There they will be required to sign the visitor’s log and will be issued a visitor’s identification sticker, which must be worn at all times while in the school or on school grounds.

Gratitude is my Superpower

“Gratitude's in all of us and all we have to do,

is stop and think how thankful we are, instead of feeling blue!"

"Gratitude is my superpower" will remind our students to appreciate the warmth of home, time spent playing with friends, and family relationships. This month, I'll be visiting our classrooms to read this wonderful book to our Meadows Mustangs. Don't forget to ask them about our read aloud!
