District Launches School Board Meeting Live Stream
Columbia Heights Public Schools has launched a live stream option for stakeholders to tune into School Board meetings live.
Tune into the live coverage of Cable Channel 18 and watch School Board meetings live at colheights.k12.mn.us/SBWatch.
Local 710 Hosts School Board Candidate Forum
Local 710 will host a Columbia Heights Public Schools Board of Education candidate forum 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 via live stream.
Three candidates are competing for three open seats on the Board: Mary Granlund, Lorien Mueller (incumbent) and Naty Severson (incumbent). Columbia Heights High School Junior Drake Phan will moderate the forum.
Tune into the forum live 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 at colheights.k12.mn.us/SBWatch by choosing “Watch LIVE.” The forum will be recorded and made available on the District’s YouTube channel for those who cannot tune in live.
Openings in PreK 4!
Columbia Heights Public Schools offers FREE full- and half-day PreK 4 programming! There are currently openings at each elementary school! Space is limited, register now!
PreK 4 programming provides an engaging and educational environment to prepare your child for Kindergarten. Classes are taught by licensed early childhood education teachers. PreK 4 curriculum is aligned with the Kindergarten curriculum and the Minnesota Early Learning Standards.
PreK 4 classes are held Monday-Friday and located at Highland, North Park and Valley View Elementary Schools. For more information, call 763-528-4517.

The District's Technology Integration team has put together resources and videos to help navigate the basics of learning from home. You can even share these resources with those who might be helping with child care during the school days!

FREE COVID-19 Testing
The Minnesota Department of Health, in partnership with Anoka County, will host free COVID-19 testing events noon-7 p.m. Oct. 13-15 at the National Guard Armory (408 Main St., Anoka).
Testing is open to everyone, with or without symptoms. Tests will be conducted via nasal swab, and insurance is not needed. Sign up for a time slot below!
