Principal's Den
I hope you are all healthy and doing well. Last Friday our students participated in and enjoyed a special assembly with Mr. Justin Love. They were also treated to a special DJ lunch. This week we have several events to look forward to. On Wednesday our AAPAC is having a paint night. Thursday we are hosting our Family STEAM night. On Friday we will have our monthly recognition ceremony. This Saturday we will host our next STEAM Academy. There are lots of exciting happenings going on at Cloverdale. I encourage you to volunteer and join our PTA or one of our parent committees. Please reach out to your teachers if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's progress. Feel free to discuss what activities and intervention programs your kids can work on at home during the breaks in order to target areas of need and to provide enrichment opportunities.
It is very important that all families complete the annual information update. It is very important that we have 100% completion rate. Please make sure that you have completed the update or contact our office for support. We will be more than happy to help. Thank you for your support.
Thank you for your support in keeping all of our kids safe. This includes respecting school zone speed limits and looking out for our pedestrians. I appreciate you for helping students cross the street and for your patience during drop-off and pick-up. Now that we have our TK also dismissing at 2:05pm we have more vehicles and traffic during pick-up. Please plan accordingly. We are trying our best to supervise our students during dismissal. Thank you for your understanding and for giving yourself enough time during after school pick-up.
Thank you all for your continued support. Together we will work to make this the best school year for our lions! LEADERS BY EXAMPLE!!
Thank you,
At Cloverdale we strive to be Leaders by Example. As I mention to our students during announcements, this means that we always try to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
As part of our school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), we also learn to ROAR. This is a matrix that exemplifies our core values of being Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible.
Our goal is to be college ready once we graduate from High School and that starts today!
Sincerely,
Genaro García
Principal
