The dairy food group is important because dairy products help to strengthen bones and improve health, also it helps to prevent osteoporosis, which is a bone disease that is caused do to lack of calcium in the bones and body. What osteoporosis does is, it makes it easier for bones to break, it causes neck and back problems, and it can shorten people by 6 inches. Some things that can be done in order to prevent getting this disease is making sure you have a healthy diet, build healthy bones at a young age, and have a healthy life style. Some healthy food choices would be things like, Yogurt, Milk, Cheese, Broccoli, and Baked beans.
