Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone is enjoying a great Mother's Day today! All our Stallion moms should have their feet up relaxing while reading this week's Round-Up!
Last week was GPS Appreciation Week and to say that the faculty and staff felt appreciated is an understatement! Thank you so much to all our amazing families who took the time to say thank you to the special people at the Ranch. Our PTSO outdid themselves again with 5 days full of wonderful acts of appreciation. I cannot express how much it means to all of us. Thank you all so very much.
National Elementary Honor Society and Student Council
Last week interviews were conducted to select the leadership of our NEHS and StuCo student groups. Selections were challenging however we are excited for these amazing young people to lead our students next year.

New Bathrooms!
Construction is underway on the remodeling of all our restrooms on campus. Undoubtedly you've noticed the fencing near the gym, as the work began on those restrooms first. Before the school year ends a second bathroom will be closed for renovation. We are excited to see how our new restrooms look once the project is completed. The goal is for all restrooms to be remodeled and ready for use before the start of school on July 26th!

It is that time of year where we look for parents/guardians interested in helping our amazing PTSO do all the wonderful things they do. We are always in need of help. If you are interested please consider reaching out at

We recognize that not everyone wants to be "in charge" of something, and that is completely understandable! If you'd like to help, we can tailor what you do to you comfort level!
Infinite Campus - Important Dates For 2022/23
Our Annual Update begins on July 11th. It is very important that all families complete the online ‘Annual Update’ to prepare for the new school year. The ‘Annual Update’ in Infinite Campus allows you to tell us of any updates to your contact information, address changes, and updates to emergency contacts. In order to ensure we can communicate with you regarding your student, or in case of emergency, it is essential that we have your up to date contact details. Please log in to your Infinite Campus parent portal and complete your student’s ‘Annual Update’ today. To access the IC portal visit www.gilbertschools.net/IC
The IC parent portal opens for all of our elementary students, including details of your student’s teacher(s) for the new school year on July 19th at 4:00 pm.

GPS and SRE Music Education
GPS was recently recognized for a “Best in Music Education” award by NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants. These types of awards are tough to achieve and speak volumes about the quality of music education in the district. Of course we already know that Mrs. Munley, Mr. Strock and Ms. Carpenter are awesome! Congrats to them and the entire GPS Music program!
Free & Reduced Meals Program for 2022/23 School Year
School breakfasts and lunches will continue to be free for all students for the rest of the 2021-2022 school year.
This will end on June 30, 2022. Meals will not be free next year.
In order to receive free and reduced meals following July 1, 2022 families will need to fill out an application. Students who apply and are eligible for free and reduced meals will also receive additional benefits such as waived summer school fees, waived college testing fees, waived musical instrument fees, waived or reduced college application fees, reduced internet fees, and much more!
Additionally, the free and reduced meal program ensures your school continues to receive funding for many school programs.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended free meals for children 18 years and younger until further notice to help ensure all children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gilbert Public Schools will provide combo meals at no cost to students for breakfast and lunch. A combo meal includes an entree, fruit and/or vegetable and beverage (milk and/or juice).
We certainly encourage our families to take advantage of this opportunity.
