Middle Students Can Earn SSL Hours with Project Linus

Project Linus is a national registered nonprofit organization with chapters across the country (www.projectlinus.org). Our Montgomery County Maryland chapter works with partner organizations like Holy Cross Hospital, Children's Hospital, A Wider Circle, and the Montgomery County Department of Social Services to distribute blankets to children who are in the hospital, homeless, in foster care, in shelters, and in other situations where just a small comfort can make a major difference. All these blankets are made by volunteers.

They are registered with the Montgomery County Volunteer Opportunities site and they update our volunteers through that site, via an email newsletter, and on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/projectlinus.mc).
